Progress Update

The development of Hobbs Bay Estate is moving along well, despite the challenges of a few rainy days over the winter months. Our stormwater catchment ponds have performed excellently in managing these weather events. Since our last update, we’ve completed the bulk of earthworks for stages 1 and 2, with only a small portion remaining, which we plan to begin in the next 2-3 weeks.

Civil works for stages 1 and 2 are also underway. The main stormwater and wastewater lines have been installed, and we are currently working on the smaller lot connections, all of which are scheduled for completion in the next three weeks. Following this, we will move forward with utility installations and roadworks, starting from Daisy Burrell Drive.

In terms of landscaping, approximately 80% of the site boundary pine trees have been removed, making way for the replanting of around 6,000 native trees and plants, including Pohutukawa and other species, along the boundary. An additional 9,000 native plants will be added within the subdivision, helping to create a lush, green environment that blends harmoniously with the coastal surroundings.

We are also making great progress with our building partners, who have provided high-level house concepts that align with our design guidelines, setting the standard for the unique character of this development.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a sustainable and vibrant community at Hobbs Bay Estate.
